Description: <p>Almost 10 years in.<br/><br/>It was quite the day. We had booked the weekend thinking that our group of friends were going to join - ended up being just the two of us in a new city. I lingered a touch too long in front of the Rolex window, and when she asked why, I shared that the SuperOcean needed to be sent off and I was casually in the market for another watch, but &quot;there&#x27;s no way I could afford that one&quot; (the OP - I didn&#x27;t know what it cost but the brand had me assuming it was way out of budget). She shared that she had always wanted a Tank to mark a professional achievement.<br/><br/>As luck would have it, there was a Cartier AD down the street. When we walked in, seeing her try on and subsequently pull the trigger on the watch - I knew she was a power to behold. It took a pizza and at least 2 pints for me to work up the hutzpah to go into the Rolex AD and try on the OP, but once we were there I knew I had to put some chips on the table if I was going to get another weekend with this woman.<br/>And here we are, 5 years later. I liked this watch as a broke college student and tracked it down some years later. love this one, but cannot find the right strap to go with it.<br/><br/>Omega Speed Master Sapphire Sandwich- not too much to say. Classic.<br/><br/>Zenith Chronomaster Original - bought to celebrate first child. One of my favorites.<br/><br/>1960s Wakmann Triple Date - newest acquisition. Val72C movement. What’s not to love.<br/><br/>Tag Heuer Carrera 1887 - wedding present from my wife. Been getting more wrist time on leather than the bracelet.<br/><br/>Oris Big Crown Pointer Date - first nice watch I ever bought myself. Getting the least amount of wear right now.<br/><br/>Oris 65 - another blue oris. This one is my “beater” and get the most activity in the lake, with yard work… etc<br/><br/>Tudor BB 58 - uncle Seiko bracelet is doing it for me right now.<br/><br/>Mido Decompression Timer 1961 Rerelease - felt a wanted a diver with a light/spring feel to it.
